These girls make me want to shake them! Lol. So much inexperience on the floor. It’s frustrating to watch. She needed a transfer or two on this team.

If I were a coach and a player missed a lay up it would be auto sub on the next time out.

This 1-8 start is on Tiber. You can’t lose 5 starters and think Freshmen can come in and fill the gaps. These games vs FGCU are gonna be brutal.

White looks like our best player. Robert’s can be a handful...for both teams. She has to start playing with control, we are not a strong enough team offensively to overcome turnovers. Noah has regressed from end of last year, Callins doesn’t appear comfortable yet, Holt plays too slow...not quick enough for division 1. We just do not have that player that can be the difference in a game. Does Bond take that step forward? Robert’s is close sometimes but tries to do a little too much. We are in for a long year with women hoops. This will be a year of growth I hope.

I have only got to watch a few games this year and I didn’t see any of the game today, but like everyone else that has an opinion I believe these young ladies will be just fine. Through 9 games last year the ladies were 7-2 with wins against Virginia Lynchburg, Mississippi Valley State, Tennessee State, Alabama A&M, UC Irvine, Oakwood and Alabama State and losses to Iowa and Samford. This years team is young and inexperienced and I believe they would have had the same record with that schedule. This years schedule to me has been brutal especially with all the freshman, every team has had a winning record except for Samford, with games against ranked Gonzaga, and games at Missouri, Purdue, and West Virginia. I don’t think even last years team with the Wallens has more than 3 wins with this schedule. This team is young and I feel they will be ok once they get to the conference schedule. Florida gulf coast will be a challenge, but I feel like we will get a split to start conference play or at least keep it closer than a lot of people expect.

That’s some good egg nog you were sipping on. Lol. I’ve said from the beginning that I was impressed by the talent but that’s where my agreement with your post ends. You think they’ll split with FGCU? That would be awesome but I don’t see it. They are 7-2 with the two losses being to Top 25 teams.

I can't say I'm happy about being 1-8, but I look at it like this. We still have to get through this year and next with no chance at the NCAA tournament. Could this freshman class end up being similar to the one we just had graduate? I don't know, but if they all gel and develop the same way the 2020 class did, when they get to be juniors we could be looking at a really solid team. Actually we only have one senior and one junior, so 2022 will be almost entirely juniors and seniors (assuming nobody transfers, which to be fair is not a smart assumption these days).
Again, I'd certainly prefer to not have such a rough year, but if it's short term pain for long term gain... I can accept it. Of course, they have to produce results next year and especially in 2022. So we'll see.
