North Alabama 34 Liberty 30
North Alabama 31 JSU 30
North Alabama 23 Southern Miss 31
North Alabama 24 BYU 38
I would take 2-2 with that schedule...as long as one of the wins is against JSU! Roar Lions!

You're more optimistic than I. I foresee us going 0-4, or at best 1-3. Would rather you be right of course.

FWIW, the TimesDaily seemed to pick us to win the JSU game in an article a couple of days ago. I sure hope they are right, but the chickens are a darn good program. We will have to be on top of our game, for sure.
I don’t expect to win the other three, I just want us to play respectable games. It’s definitely an opportunity to make a good impression on recruits.

We will have tape on Liberty. Tape helps tremendously in preparation. Our defense is FBS caliber. Our offensive line has talent to be much improved. Howell at running back is unique. He will make some splash plays from that position, we really haven’t had since Thompson. Our receivers are deep and looks like they got deeper. We could surprise Liberty or Southern Miss or both or neither. Really hope we stay with 20 of BYU....would be impressive.

I myself would like to see us compete in every game. At least be within 2 scores going into the 4th quarter with a chance to win in the FBS games. Think we can play with JSU this year. We weren’t that far off from them last year, but I believe depth hurt us. We recruited and helped that this year. Can’t let these guys run up the score and can’t turn the ball over. One of the QBs has to get our wideouts the ball. Roar Lions!

I hope we have a competitive game with JSU but I won't be shocked if the Lions are winless this fall.
That said, I do expect marked improvement when we face Big South competition again (hopefully this Spring). If not, we'll need to start addressing the coaching staff.
If we are to compete in FCS, we need to offer adequate salaries to attract experienced coaches (especially assistants).

From what I’ve heard, UNA might not play in the spring. Get bigger and stay healthy so we can compete next fall..

From what I’ve heard, UNA might not play in the spring. Get bigger and stay healthy so we can compete next fall.. May not... they don't seem optimistic that the Big South as a whole will play in the spring. If the Big South does, so will UNA. That being said, I wish we would have put together a full schedule instead of waiting to see. If the Big South dont like it, I'm sure another conference would pick up UNA and KSU for football only. I know we had an opportunity to play NDSU again and we could have kept Chattanooga.
