Any word on this? A lot of kids are just in marching band in the fall and not in concert band in the spring because they are taking other classes a lot of times if they are not music majors. I know that UNA had band camp in August and are preparing a show. Will they just be at the fall games? For those outside of the Band world, Bands switch over to concert mode in the spring with different groups of people involved, and different ensembles. (And a different style of playing) I don’t know how they would feasibly be able to ask everyone to “hang around” and just keep doing marching band 2nd half of the year.

Why are they only playing in the stands at the JSU game??? Is it an NCAA thing? 😡

Big South made the ruling on the band only being in the stands.

Spring scheduling is still in discussion. There are a lot of moving parts in the spring to deal with.
