At least UNA believes the football season will go on. I got my season ticket order form today in the mail. Nice to think about people cheering and enjoying football again. My seats at Braly are much less than 6 feet apart. Heck less than 6 millimeters apart...
Roar Lions!

Imagine yours comes today. Pretty exciting schedule except for game on Halloween. My kids still enjoy trick or treating, wish game kicked off a little earlier, so we could make the drive home in time to trick or treat.

It really will be the best schedule we've had in years. I hope it draws in some fans that have drifted away.
Maybe a stupid question, but if social distancing is still a thing in September, but the games go on as planned - I wonder if folks will be encouraged to spread out? Could we see some reserved seating in the east stands? I'm not one that thinks we should all be scared and remain in our homes for a year, but at the same time, I'm not sure how comfortable I would be sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with someone that's coughing.
Hopefully summer will kill this thing off and this is all a moot point.

I'd like to think they could spread out (with normal attendance numbers) but the JSU matchup in Sept. is likely to have the potential for a sellout, especially since it's also scheduled to be the Marching Band Extravaganza event.

Hopefully by then, it wont matter. But if it does, people will just need to use common sense, if you have a bad immune system or dont feel comfortable, dont go. If you do go, just be mindful of people, wash hands, dont cough in someone's direction, just the normal stuff and people should be fine.

May, June, July, and August will the story. I just hope the university presidents and/or the NCAA don’t jump the gun and start cancellations too early in the process. We know other coronaviruses don’t like summer heat, so even though we’ve been cautioned that there’s no “proof” warm weather will make an impact, I suspect it will. Additionally I think the population in general has healthier immune systems in the summer. We aren’t gonna get the number of cases down to zero, but maybe we can put a big dent in it. Hopefully by the time September gets here we will also have decided on some treatment options that reduce the mortality in all but the oldest and sickest. Again, I just wonder how long they can “wait and see”. They will have to decide whether students can return for the fall by... sometime in July? And while I think football could go on with students taking online classes, I imagine no students on campus = no football. But that might just mean we wait until January or so to get started and play an abbreviated season.
