Surprised to see Christian Agnew in the transfer portal? Holden Redparth I could see...he didn’t play much. Agnew being such a vital part of the team was surprising? Did anyone else suspect UNA to lose any starters to transfer?

Wow! I wonder if he wants to just be closer to home?

Unless he knows that he will not be playing much next year because someone is better? Who knows?

While I get that, and feel for him and the others because of the asinine NCAA transition rules... he knew about it coming here. Didn't he? Maybe not he feels like he's proven something and could earn a starting spot for a team that has tournament chances. Who knows.

He's not consistent enough to play above the mid-major level. He plays wild and I hope he can gain control and mature a bit on the court if he returns.

At the end of the year, he started doing this jump as high as I can to get the rebound and he mistimed it multiple times that led to offensive boards for the other team. Heck of a defensive player and has that no one can stop me mentality that can get you in trouble. Hope he finds the right fit for him, which may be coming back to UNA. If he does, UNA has a real shot at competing in the A-Sun next year. Liberty graduating several of their top players.

Agnew is our fourth best player on the team, I do not see him making much of an impact at higher level or within our conference at some other schools. He puts a lot of effort into the game, he just isn’t the type of player to take a game over. He is complimentary player that needs a strong player or two on court with him. I wish him the best, he helped us for two years. I do not want him to leave and find out he made a mistake.

Well that may help...if the guys are not able to contribute during the game, think that is a win for both team and player. Maybe we can recruit a player that fits team better and the player can find a better fit with a different team?

Agnew is heading to Texas, El Paso to be exact. He committed to UTEP. Wish him luck.
