I watched us move the ball crisply inside and around the perimeter and consistently finding mismatches downlow or open shooters from the perimeter. We really seemed focused and in rhythm as a team. Making the ASUN is good, but I think this team has aspirations to do more.
Question
I know some people mentioned NIT last year as a possibility...is that a real possibility for this years team?

Because I dont know... That was my understanding last year. What troubles me about it is our low RPI vs other ASUN schools. A few days back we were fourth in the conference on the NCAA's RPI ranking. Despite having beaten the two teams above us (UNF and Liberty) after FGCU. If we just keep winning that should work itself out.

It is hard for me to see how they would reward an team to represent the conference that is in transition, but assuming that we could have only two more losses (to FGCU) by that time. I could see us getting an at-large bid to the WNIT.

I could see us getting an at-large bid to the WNIT. Abilene Christian represented the Southland twice during their transition. Of course, they were the conference regular-season winner and then co-champ during those seasons. From Wikipedia: The postseason field consists of 32 automatic berths – one from each conference – and 32 at-large teams. Thirty-two spots in the Postseason WNIT are filled automatically by the best team available in each of the nation’s 32 conferences. If a conference’s automatic qualifier team declines the WNIT invitation, the conference forfeits that automatic spot, and that selection goes into the pool of at-large schools. The remaining 32 team slots in the Postseason WNIT are filled by the top teams available. Any team from a Division I conference, or a Division I independent team, will be considered. Any team considered for an at-large berth must have an overall record of .500 or better. Bids are announced on the evening of the same day that the NCAA tourney bids are made.Current Women's RPI (who knows if this ranking comes into play or not) 25. FGCU 100. Liberty 112. UNF 155. UNA 190. Jacksonville 208. Stetson 227. KSU 274. Lipscomb 330. NJIT
