The Flames are starting off their game and we're still down by 11. Can't buy a basket.

Agnew plays out of control, back yard ball. 80% of the time it leads to a turn over.

Agnew and Blackmon have 1FG out of 9attempts....not a winning formula. I just watched Agnew drive into the trees, lose the ball, and they score off it. Why isn’t the Anderson kid on the floor? He and James can generate points at least?

Had it to a 3 point game but haven't scored since. Back out to 10 points now.

Our guard play is atrocious...no ability to make a shot or free throw. We should start shooting at practice with a bigger basketball than we play with in the game. Matic provided some spark, only guy that made a shot. James made some early in the half, still very raw player. Never seen a happier player to foul out than Littles? He sure was smiling about it. 52 total points in a college game...we are likely in for a very very long year. I never did see Anderson? He must have been sick or something. Saw Youngblood brick a shot...consistent.

For 17.5 dogs, I thought we played fairly well. Surprisingly, given the competition we were playing (only one loss), this is one we let get away. Make our free throws and this one could well have been a UNA W. I come away from this game with a feeling that we are definitely (as a team) getting better. Lions are a team to watch; you can see improvement and I think they may not be too far from turning the corner.

They played the worst game of their season and we still lost by double digits. It was an ugly, ugly game to watch. And the refs let them play for sure. About half of both teams should have fouled out.

Even the Liberty TV crew questioned why we didn't press more like against UNF.

I was watching Bama's meltdown against Florida the other day and they mentioned that Coach Oats ends practice by starting a clock and giving the team a goal of making 80 three-pointers in three minutes. If they don't, they start the clock over. With their rout of Mississippi State yesterday, the Tide has scored over 90 points in five straight games for the first time in program history.

Lions are a team to watch; you can see improvement and I think they may not be too far from turning the corner. I did not see our offensive ability to win. We play very strong defense. We cannot make a shot nor do we manipulate the defense to get open shots. We are very vanilla on offense. James gives us a little bit of a post game. We need Agnew/Blackmon to return back to form. They cannot shoot 2-15 from the floor and expect us to win. Agnew/James cannot have 10 turnovers combined either. Problem with being a defensive team is not turning over the competition enough or when we do only getting 5 points off 9 turnovers. We turned it over 16 times on offense which resulted in 22 points for Liberty. Team needs to start showing some growth from these games. I am seeing the same problem each game. Frustrating knowing we had the ball 2 or 3 times down by 3 and never threatened to get any closer. Come on Lions! I will keep watching and rooting, but doing the same thing over and over is not going to produce different results.

Agnew and Blackmon were not at their best but, the team played as a team and did not implode. They had a chance to win it. Possibly Liberty had a bad game. Possibly our team had something to do with that.

These are literally the same general frustrations Alabama faithful had that got Grant and Pujol canned in T-town.

About half of both teams should have fouled out. I have to agree with tuna... We are doing better as a team this year. And I have seen a marked improvement. That being said, yes, we could have done a better job, not only in this game, but several games this year and have more W's. I still think we are on the right path, and I am not giving up on Coach P, we are still a young program, and only 2nd year in D1 with a 2nd year head coach at any college level. He said from the beginning, defense is going to be our defying identity, and I like that, but we do have to get better at making FGs, especially on open shots, and there is no excuse for missing free throws as much as we do. But how much of that is overall talent? Maybe he is getting the most out of the talent available for a 2nd year program in a primarily football state in regards to D1 athletics. Hopefully we start getting better recruits every year we notch out of transition. Yes, especially in basketball, conference championships are nice, but it's hard to get recruits if they know you have no shot during their time at a NCAA tournament bid... that should get easier as we transition. I'm just going to enjoy the W's we can get until the transition is over...

Think we need to move Blackmon to point, play Matic and Anderson more to give us some perimeter ability. Brim is too small to get a shot off or drive down into the trees. Even Agnew struggles to drive into the lane with his height/frame. I think the coaches will adjust as the season goes, and they know team personnel better than I. Sucks it is like a surprise when we score. I wish we were able to score in transition, but that has not been the case this season.
