Friday game now moved back 1 hour to 7 CST due to storms moving through. Hopefully we can capitalize on the win over Butler and continue with the adjustments.

Well I guess I posted positive on coach too soon after Butler win. First game with Davidson, Same story different game. Had pitchers in bull pen but left starting pitcher in 3 innings to get in hole before he decided to make change. 3 IP...5 runs, 5 hits, HB, walk, balk for run. 10 pitchers in bull pen waiting. "GO FIGURE".

Maybe their sandbagging until conference play starts? Make everyone think your a pushover and then strike like Jeremy. (Sorry that may not be PC anymore)

Looking terrible again today, just turned the game on and going to the 8th it’s 13-0 Davidson and we are being out hit 16-2 🤦♂️.. I am probably a minority on the board but I have always had trust and faith in Keehn that he would be able to turn this around if given time but year after year it’s the same thing. Baseball is one of my favorite sports but it is hard to even watch the Lions play right now. We have to make changes SOON, baseball has been the sport so far we have been least competitive in since moving to D1!!

I can't seem to make sense of any strategy here. Batting lineup always the same players, despite performance. Pitching doesn't seem to improve over time. I expected early season jitters, but we can't seem to shake them. Not impressed with the pitching coach at all. It seems he has not given enough attention to the mental game, players are discouraged and complain of being torn down rather than encouraged or supported. Pitching is 90% mental, so you defeat yourself by being over critical and providing no instruction to lead to improvement. Restricting players from encouraging their teammates and forcing quiet in the dugout seems to have deflated any team spirit the guys had gong for them. Then it seems we continue game after game to start the same pitchers who may or may not do well, but continue to be left struggling for inning after inning until we get into a deep hole, even though we have multiple pitchers warmed up in the bullpen. We don't have the bats to make up for these types of calls. And why don't we have the bats? We have talent that sits on the bench. The fundamentals seem to be lost, way too many errors. Team moral is at an all time low, which is critical in this game. Something needs to happen to change direction fast!

I agree. According to parents and players, one of the biggest difference is when Hancock left and new pitching coach took over. Major difference in players, strategy and coaching. We have talent but the pitching coach is not using or developing. At this point he should know his players abilities and strengths and they should be improving. Obvious problems that Keehn needs to address. So just go to a game and see the difference in our dug out this year compared the previous years.
