Ten days away from season open with Jax State and 21 days from series at Bama and no Chatter. Don't know much about our team this year. What have we got?

I've not followed UNA baseball in years. Will be fun to get to know this team a bit as the season begins.

We got screwed out of the tournament last year...
We will have a decent team, but also an extremely tough schedule. The ASun is a top baseball conference, and we got JSU and 3 SEC programs. Got some big games at home, hopefully peaple will show up. Our students do good at showing up for baseball and softball.

I look forward to this season. Football is always my favorite sport but I do enjoy the laid back atmosphere of baseball. Plus there will be the opportunity to see some great ballparks on the road. The neat thing, for an old coot like me, is some of the games are during the daytime. I am truly looking forward to that 11:00 game at Ole Miss. I can get up have a nice breakfast drive to Oxford watch UNA put the stomp on 'em and still be home for a sorta late supper if I decide to make it a day trip.

Tuscaloosa as well.

I have never really paid attention to college baseball, for some reason. I follow the Braves, so it's not from a lack of interest in baseball overall. Not sure what my deal has been. I'll try to follow things this year. I'm interested in the potential plan for building a new stadium. Seeing what is happening in Madison/Huntsville with their new minor league stadium, I wonder if we could incorporate some "non-traditional" amenities that might attract some folks that don't usually like going to games? Not sure exactly what that would be - I'm not expecting a lazy river or a Margaritaville hotel - but making it a more family-friendly facility might help drum up some interest in the program. And if they build it off-campus at Cox Creek Park and wanted to add beer sales, I wouldn't be opposed to that. Not that I have to have a beer to get through a game, but it's a nice perk . I'm not even sure if the ASUN would allow it (or the City of Florence...).
