No baskets for the Lions in the 2nd Qtr. Wow.
I'll review the 2nd half on replay. Very disappointing.

It’s over...we overmatched on the court and sideline in this one. FGCU is easily best team in the conference. Great defense by FGCU and we are very turnover prone trying to make too many highlight passes that never work. Coach needs to them with a board at practice when they try it...think that would stop it. Maybe their team gets bored in the 2nd half and we score a couple goals and free throws.

Definitely outmatched in that one. No ASUN team has touched them and I doubt any will this season. Our women are playing for second place at this point.
Excellent atmosphere there tonight.

I wonder if that’s the first time in our history we didn’t make a FG in a quarter? I don’t think our ladies were chicken...but they did lay an egg in the 2nd quarter. Really no way to recover against a quality opponent. Our lack of defense and defensive adjustments in the first three quarters hurt. Coaching and players all own that loss...hope they use it for motivation. Pulling for the men to get back on track tomorrow.

FGCU men playing a lot better the past few games, will be a tough game to win on the road.

Lol...I was hoping for a competitive game. Didn’t happen. Emma couldn’t make a shot and when Panetti gets shutdown, we have to hit from outside. We did not shoot it well and they took advantage of our lack of defense and buried their wide open looks. We are 7-2 in the conference...really amazing for first year in the league and predicted next to last.

We're tied for second with Stetson. Gonna have to play hard to finish well.

Been out of town on business and haven’t been able to check in much. Didn’t even get to watch the game last night, though I followed it on Twitter.
I guess I’m not very upset. What we’ve done as a transitioning program is already pretty impressive. I WOULD like to finish second in the conference at least, and grab that NIT spot. Who knows, if we get a third shot at the Eagles in the conference championship game, you never know what might happen. I really do wish the ladies on this team could win a championship of some kind. They certainly deserve it.
Meanwhile, really hope the men can get back on track tonight.

Going to zone in the final seconds cost us. But, the Lions have erased an 11-point lead by the Eagles. Tied at the half.

FGCU is down this year but we needed more shots to fall in this one. Oh well. Had lots of chances.

Blackmon has a hit a wall. He just cannot hit the perimeter shots like he was doing early. Agnew is playing much improved from the start of the season. Stafford is ok...really struggles on defense against quicker players. He has to contribute more on offense...same for Smith. We rely way to much on Agnew and Blackmon. Wonder how much we truly miss the kid from Snead? Hope the bigs really make progress in the offseason...we could be strong next year.
