Wow. Amazing finish!
It looked like the Lions FT woes and miss opportunities were gonna cost them this one. Nope. Agnew with the half-court shot for the win!

What a finish! Streaming with the sound off....looked like poetry in motion from what looked like beyond half court, in as the board goes red all around. Silence is golden! Congrats men's basketball.
Also way to go women's basketball!

Observations on today’s games at Flowers: Wow. Crazy ending to the men’s game. If someone would have told me that UNA would start out 4-1 in ASUN play in year one of the transition, I would have called you crazy. My main complaint, which is mainly about the men’s game at large, is that there are long periods where the game as ZERO flow. NCAA really needs to take a page out of the women’s game and move to four, ten minute periods.
The women’s team is incredibly fun to watch when they get things going. I had not been inside Flowers since renovations, but I think everything looks quite impressive. I agree with other posts on this forum that there is a need for a pep band.
As always, Roar Lions!

Great points, ‘13. Glad you were able to make it to Flowers. I agree that the men would probably benefit from four quarters, and wholeheartedly agree that the women are just fun (this coming from someone that for years refused to watch women’s basketball). On the pep band - I really, really don’t want to be negative after such an awesome day, but I’ll say this: if we can’t have the pep band, can we AT LEAST pipe in the fight song once or twice a game?! Especially after the game is over? I didn’t hear it one time today (forgive me if it was played while I was in the bathroom or something). It’s a trivial thing, but damn it, I enjoy hearing it. There’s literally no reason to not play it.

I ended up picking up my 15 year old nephew and met my buddy and his son there. We walked in when all the football coaches were going thru, good to speak with those guys. I am guessing we had a big recruiting weekend. Flowers sure did get loud on the last shot! I love the new look Flowers Hall! Great job on the renovations! Our guys could not buy a bucket from the outside. We finally starting driving the ball. King gave us quite the spark off the bench...he was the only offensive spark tonight. We did not dunk anything, block much of anything or get really many steals. We did get the final shot...and with that...we got the final say. Take the win and get better.

With the W, the men take sole possession of 3rd.
For the women, sole possession of 2nd. Only a half game behind FGCU. And I think we are better than they are when we are on.

#2 in the SC Top 10 and regular coverage of the ending of the game. Great Sports Center coverage tonight!

In over 45+ years of watching UNA Men’s Basketball That finish was probably in the top 5 of all finishes.
Over the past several seasons I have lost interest in Men’s Basketball simply because I don’t like playing above the rim. I like to see what I call true dunks, but NO touching of the rim. I would like to see the NCAA go back and disallow any touching of the rim.
Also having watch the Women since back in the mid 70’s when they were in the AIAW, this season’s team is the most fun of all to watch even when they are having a bad game.

There is no way we can have this good of a team and look so sloppy and slow...
What is going on?

Tied up at the half... still playing sloppy. We have a player that is selfish and gets too frustrated too easily. I will not name her, but you can.
