Not able to watch, but seeing the live stats, it appears we turned it on in the second half. Yep, I had to wonder if the first half was kind of intentionally sloppy. By that, I mean, maybe they were doing a little experimentation. Certainly came out fast in the second half and did not look back. Really impressive looking in the second half.

I have a friend that is shocked Elmore was offered a scholarship in basketball. I wonder if he will actually see the court at North Alabama? I did talk with a customer that was going with his boys today...may have only stayed the first half? Glad Littles was back...we can build off the 2nd half.

I don't know. Elmore led Mountain Brook to back-to-back 7A State championships and, along with Blackmon, were the top two guards in the city. His scoring dropped in his senior season because the team needed a defensive stopper like Willie West did back in 1974 for UNA. Its tough to give up scoring to become defense-minded. Willie probably still resents it but his defensive intensity was contagious as the Lions were one of the top defensive team in the nation two years in a row resulting in our first NCAA appearance. You wouldn't believe the roar in The Hall when Willie would crouch at mid court, (when we weren't using relentless full court pressure) and slap that sticky Tartan floor with both hands and the choking harassment would begin.
