The SB writer isn't wrong. Yet, even being a homer, I know that if we shoot the lights out and they don't - the Lions could get some headlines tonight and tomorrow. It would be nice to have a competitive game and not a blowout. We'll see. Anyone know my Matic only played one minute last game? He was raining threes a few games back. I didnt know you and Matic was close...š

UNA could hold them to 40 spread at 39 would be about right. We couldnāt make an open layup. Team is scared to death and has zero confidence

Well...could be worse...we just are no threat inside three point line and not much of one from three. Tough when you are just so overmatched at every position. I donāt think 15 for us could dunk it at 6ā9ā? Offseason weight training will help our team as much as anything. We have to get faster and stronger. Year one and we get paid $95,000 for a game! We win...just would love to see us somehow outscore the Zags by 1 in the 2nd half..

Thought we had them...in the 2nd half. Another big difference in programs, even when they put in their waterboy he was knocking down wide open three pointers... I am wondering if we are trying for medical redshirt for Youngblood? Glad we are earned some respect in the 2nd half and made it to 50 points against a very Gonzaga defense. We have to find some offensive consistency in conference play. We could be middle of the pack if we play well at home and steal a couple on the road. I believe we are better than our record, not a lot better, but better.

We have a team, primarily freshmen, and a couple of seniors that have never played a season of D1 basketball. On top of that, a bran new coach. You cant measure success in wins this year. You have to look at how they progress and look at what we are able to recruit in the next few years. Recruiting is also where the fans can help, show up, fill the stands, make noise, and give recruits another reason to want to play at UNA. I know wins will help, but we can too.

There are losses, and then thereās THAT first half. Iām not upset with the team or coaches. Iām not even surprised about what happened last night. All Iām saying is it physically makes me ill to watch us get hammered in that sort of way. I watched until halftime basically. In my defense, Iām in the Eastern (or as I call it āAwfulā) time zone and my schedule means I am usually DONE at 10:00. One more non-con opponent, and then, who knows? Itāll be a new season with teams likely closer to our talent level. Thereās still time for improvement.

We will get there, but we have to enjoy the process.

Watched it, off and on. We didn't get lapped so, I took some comfort in that. I look to the comments at the end of your post regarding fans as this is key going forward. Gonzaga fans were told this UNA team was not very good. Gonzaga students were on holiday break. Yet, if you watched the game, what did you see? Looked to me like a packed out arena. I know Gonzaga is one of the mid-major jewels but, they had plenty of reason to not pack it out. Flowers is a small arena and look forward to the day when this is a hard ticket to get.

I guess what I'm saying about the fans, and I'm not on a high horse because I'm also talking about myself, is, it would be awesome, if I was a recruit, in any sport and I know the fans are going to show up and support the program, win or lose. That means a lot, and you are more likely to pull some recruits that others say you probably should not have gotten because of that. And that's how a top notch program is built.
