It’s time the ASUN consider adding football How? Stetson will not go scholarship. Jacksonville is not likely to anytime soon. North Florida may eventually add football, but how long? FGCU may do it in 10-15 years. Lipscomb will never do it. Neither will NJIT. Liberty is FBS. We could add more schools, but they would be more D2 schools and no AQ for the playoffs. Not to mention, the more the conference adds, the less money for all schools, unless they end up getting 3 or more in the NCAA bball tournament, and that is not likely to happen anytime soon. The setup now is a good one in my opinion, I also see a FBS deal happening as well for ASun schools wanting FBS ball. The WAC, with all those will not have an AQ for a long time. They will need to make a deal in football like the ASun did, with the schools that are not full members of the Big Sky, and then they may have enough D1 schools playing football to get an AQ.

All this tells me is, if none of the schools targeted join, or not enough of them join, the WAC is about to fold completely.
