It's almost August and no hosses. I'm beginning to worry.

Talking to Willis the other day, he said we are solid on the O-line. He must be confident. His main concern was QB and RBs.
The majority of recruits probably are hesitant to sign, and rightly so. I imagine a half way decent year in the 1st year will help for the next few years. Although I did see somewhere we landed 2 commits that are some pretty impressive linemen, one from Dodge City Community College and I can't remember the other. And I am not sure if they start this fall or next year.

Another article in the TimesDaily this morning talks about us planning to add two more players this coming week, another quarterback and an offensive lineman. Willis said he wants to hold a couple of scholarships in case guys leave the team during camp. We apparently had eight scholarships open this summer. Lopez and Robinson have taken two of those, I assume. Lions Ready for Practice

He talks about the OL too. I guess his main concern about the OL is meshing and experience.
Others on the team seem to have high expectations for the team this year. Like coach Wallace always says, the intangibles is the key.

We need Collier to take the next step at tackle. He is now 6'7 and 305Ibs. He could be a key to a good line or an average line. The center transferring in sounds pretty good. 6'3 and 295 is great size for a center. I have heard the freshman back from Lanette looks really good in the 7 on 7's. At 6'1 and 190Ibs. he comes in with good size. We are probably looking at 6 to 8 freshman playing significant roles, maybe not starters, but definitely helping this year. Taylor proved he was ready last year...and Evans looks ready this year. Cox will start at back, remains to be seen if he can hold the position? He just doesn't have that burst or has not shown the burst yet. The smaller back last year provided quite a spark with his speed. Howell or Price may be that guy if Sturdivant is not back from ACL. I worry a little about depth at DT, Lele is huge and fast for 300Ibs plus. Frank Williams is also fast, after those two with get pretty thin. Owensby is good for a few reps, not sure he has size to play D1. Brown may have to play some as a freshman, would love to redshirt him. Files looks really good, maybe he can play a little like 4 games in mop up time, so we do not burn his redshirt. Lopez can run and has shown good accuracy so far. I wish Hicks would have come back, but if there is one position the Lions are stacked it's at WR. The new safety will start beside Johnson, should be a good duo back there. Ready for fall camps to see what the guys will look like in pads.

Expect 2 freshman running backs to make an impact this fall. Tyler Price and Jason Howell are Fbs talents. Price had offers from power 5 schools but waited a little too long from my understanding. Glad he's here though! Keep hearing Files has been slinging it this summer, I'd love for him to red shirt this season though. Kennebrew sounds like he'll contribute this fall at receiver as well...

When you search for Jason Howell, all you get is an avalanche of some recruiting twit with the same name, darn it!

Howell, Kennebrew, Files, and Washington looked very good in 7 on 7's. Price has a ton of potential too. Howell looks good without pads, hope he looks that good in pads. Foster at 6'6 can make an impact at DE this year. New safety will really help shore up back end. This defense is going to be fun to watch.

I would like to hear more about the new players like their first names and the high schools they are from. I don't know how I missed a couple of signings that happened back in February.

When do these guys arrive on campus? We have 7 QB's on the roster are we planning on bringing that down to 3 or are we just gonna trot out all 7 until we find one?
