Just saw a picture of UNA tennis courts on Facebook. The courts were purple! Don't know if that's for real but, if so, that's kind of cool. There was a suggestion the striping be done in gold. Having been a volunt er line judge for a local volleyball league, well, the contrast needs to be very good between stripes and court. Might be an argument for yeller in this instance. Anyway thought it was interesting. Not sure I could ever handle a purple football field, as a couple of FCS teams do, but tennis courts maybe so.

I like it. They will probably do white lines but logos in gold.

Referring to the TD article, there are some indoor tennis facilities in Huntsville. It's a drive but, maybe some arrangements could be made during the winter months for practice time.

Hindsight is 50/50, as Pat Dye once famously said, but it sure would have been nice for them to put a couple of courts in the student rec center.

Problem is, I'm kind of an old coot and still think a football field should be green and almost, but not quite, old enough to say grass and not turf. 'Course I can handle me some purple and gold (not yeller) logo and trimming upon it.

I for one, think the different colors on football field or any other field looks tacky. A tennis court or any other court is okay, fields are supposed to at the very least, look like grass.
