Wow. So we were not prepared to play the first half at all. Under 30 points in a half cannot happen ever in conference play. Terrible start to lose to what’s likely the worst team in conference other than us.

We went to the Huntsville Havoc hockey game last night (which makes me wish there was a chance UNA would someday have a hockey program, even though I know the odds are a billion to one). Didn’t think I’d care to miss watching the games, because UCA typically has such terrible basketball teams. I chalked both of these up as easy wins. Instead, these are just truly terrible losses. It seems the men didn’t show up for the first half, and the ladies gave up in the 4th quarter. How does either happen at home?
It’s getting really hard to be optimistic about either program.

Playing another weak opponent on the men’s side, coming in with a 4-13 record. Do the Lions win by 20 plus tonight or do play terrible at home again and lose to another lesser opponent? This game is very important for Pujols. We cannot lay an egg against the bottom of the conference two games in a row.

Lions win!! ACC with 7 3’s and 27 total. Good rebounding tonight.

ACC made some big shots and helped out Clutter for sure. The point guard made a clutch three late to help the Lions to victory. Hopefully ACC has found her footing, maybe the team will feed off this win. We still didn’t rebound well in the 2nd half, but they couldn’t make their putbacks when they rebounded so we got away with it. Maybe this give the team confidence. Thought with ACC height she was a post player, appears watching the game she is not, seems much more comfortable outside. I missed the first half, just saw the 3rd and 4th and we turned it over too much, but ACC, Clutter, and Sarah would really helped hold it together on offense in the 4th. Charlton must have had a good first half because she finished with double digits and she barely played in the 2nd half. She will hopefully continue to develop too. Sad the lack of students that attended. Hopefully we start winning and they show up. Roar Lions

The men need ACC to help them on offense too. Yuck. 23 points in a half of basketball. We are in danger of dropping two games at home against the weaker teams in division. Hope we figure something out at the halftime. Looks like Bellarmine only 8 players or so? Maybe they will wear out in the 2nd half.

Much better offensive flow in the 2nd half and getting to the free throw line. Also believe Bellarmine 8 wearing out a little. We are getting a lot of rebounds. Good to get a win at home. Hopefully we get some momentum. Interesting what Ben said the team says about Smith….he makes everything in practice. If he can find a way to produce in game we could do some damage, we need one more scorer.

Bellarmine has injuries and they just can’t compete in the 2nd half of these games. The Lions finally had shots fall and then they went into a late game lull. I’m just happy they did well overall to get the win. Roar Lions!!

Hopefully this win sparks us... we have the talent to be extremely good this year, we also have depth. For some reason, when we are cold, we are freezing cold.
Do we not practice shooting? I'm not talking about the throw a hope and a prayer shots, we miss the easy shot more than I ever seen. Give us half of those shots and we only have a couple of losses.
Hopefully we get hot for the remainder of the season and make a case for a championship...

Agree wide open looks need to go in. Miss far too many of those open shots? Although I will say Lane is starting to make more shots from the perimeter this year, not just driving to the basket. Wish KJ and Smith Jr. could make some of those outside shots. Howell makes some, but his rebounding presence has been strong. He and Forrest together are good on the boards. We will definitely need a transfer to replace Forrest next year down low.
