Instead of forgetting how to play offense in the second half like some games this season and most games during the Chris Willis era, we forgot how to play offense in the first half. I just knew that we'd be in trouble when Walters threw an interception in our first offensive play of the game.
Glad that the offense FINALLY woke up and scored, even converted a 2 point conversion, but this was disappointing.
Not a good look when QB Walters was our leading rusher in the game. 14 attempts for 55 yards while Kobe Warden was second with 7 yards.
I'm shocked that ShunD didn't run all over us. Just 7 attempts for 23 yards. The Bears relied more on the passing game tonight.
Just glad that they didn't drop 64 points on us like they did last year.

Any hope for next season, fellas? Oh I have hope for next season. We have improved from last year. All I ask is that we continue to remember how to score in the 2nd half and for the love of God, don't get penalties on 4th down that will most likely cost us the ballgame! (Austin Peay)

Well that was unfortunate. We did get to cheer defense about 3 series in a row and it worked! Jan helped get that going as usual. They kept getting the ball back and three plays later we would roll out our not so secret weapon out punter would do his thing. We kept trying to run and once we did have a big gain in the first half….like 2 yards. Think maybe we need a new strength coach? Did y’all see that one play where the UCA dlineman hit our oline guy and almost knocked back into Noah? He just fell down in front of Noah. Hope his back is ok….he got flattened like he was a kid. If Noah gets one or maybe two offensive linemen next year he may be a beast. Not sure how long he puts up with taking a beating each week. Lacey should slide back to receiver next year. Without TK how do we score next year? So earlier in another post I thought 6 players could fix us. Thinking more like 15 after watching that in person tonight. I tried to watch positions and the game. Whew we are weak. 54 for a freshman plays as strong as anyone. Can’t wait to see his progress next year. We really struggle on the edges on both sides of the los. They blitzed two guys from the same side and both pounded Noah for the sack. Nobody got in their way. We may not cross the 50 against FSU.
Roar Lions and ready for some big recruiting news! Instant playing time hopefully will be appealing. My voice is shot after the little bit of cheering we got to do.
