Tarleton is an 8-point favorite for this Saturday's game. It will be a battle, for sure. TSU scored 52 on McNeese, so I would expect our defense to have their hands full. Combined with the long road trip I'm a bit surprised we're only 8-point underdogs.

I noticed they are having a “Purple Out” which I found to be an odd choice for playing us. 😂

I’ve heard the Rangers’ new place is impressive. I’d like to get out there sometime, as I’m trying to knock out MLB stadiums as I can. I’ll probably miss the game to be honest. We will be in California starting Saturday visiting family. We will actually be at the Giants game in San Fran Saturday night.

I'll be at the game this weekend. UNA/Tarleton State game on Saturday, then Texas Rangers and Frisco Rough Riders games on Sunday. I expect a shoot out UNA 49 Tarleton 45 Well that is cool. Hope you prove to be our good luck charm. We eventually will have to lineup and kick a FG. Scares the lights out of me after watching those 4th quarter point after try’s. Same kicker different results so far? He was consistent on anything inside 40 yards. Guess he is consistent this year too….dang it. The good news for Lions fans is the first two games were against good competition. Walters looked very good Saturday night, our line still scares me on protection. Crazy how much time Qb for UTC had against our dline? Then I watch our QB and he better go through his reads quickly. Walters has made a lot of good decisions, we need that trend to continue Saturday. Hopefully 9 and 1 are healed up and ready to go. Those guys make a lot of tackles. Anyone know if targeting call was removed on 10? Replay made it look like he didn’t even hit the Qb near his head or neck. Saw Young dressed on the sideline, guessing if we had to use him he could have went, good sign. Keep feeding Lacey and Daniels out of the backfield. Keep throwing to TK, Kobe, Florence, and Warfield. Leave 2 on the bench and let him help with play calling or something. Our punter is absolutely phenomenal, he is a weapon. Score prediction: North Alabama 37 Tarleton State 34

Turner is the only one of those I’ve been to. Otherwise I have Truist, Great American Ballpark (Reds), PNC Park (Pirates), and Petco (Padres). And I’ve walked by the Nationals’ stadium, but they weren’t playing at the time. I’d really love to go to Wrigley, even though a guy at knew at UNA was a really obnoxious Cubs fan and honestly makes me pull against them most of the time. But I’m sure the setting is incredible. My favorite so far has been PNC. Pittsburgh is awesome.

Looking over the numbers, I'd say Tarleton's strength is on offense. In last year's game they rushed for over 250, including 161 from Derrel Kelley who returns this year and had 136 last week against McNeese. Jaden Smith, who had 173 yards receiving and 2 TDs is also back. They have a new QB, but he through for 344 against McNeese. It should be a great test to see if our defense has truly improved.
On the flip side, we both rushed and passed for 200+ last year. Demarcus Lacey had 108 receiving with a TD. I hope we can see Lacey more involved in the passing game as the season goes on, as I still feel like he's best used as a "slash" type guy. Hopefully Jalyn Daniels can continue to run well, and maybe Driggers will be back this week? Anybody know why he was out for Chattanooga?
Being such a long road trip, I don't want to say this game is some make it or break it deal. I want to win to continue momentum, and because it's a conference game, but I don't think a close loss would be some big setback. However, IF we can win it, I think we might be able to really build some confidence going into the meat of the conference schedule. At least if we lose, it's early and we'll have plenty of opportunities to still have a positive season.
My heart says Lions win, my head says Texans... so I don't know. Maybe a 31-27 final, with whoever has the ball last being your winner.

Both teams have great colors and are similar. UNA turned it on in the 4th quarter last week and pulled away. Tarleton State did the exact same thing in their game. Our passing game sets up our running game. I do not think McNeese has quite the passing attack we do. On the flip side we are not really a run control type of offense so far as we are more a splash play running team. Our defense has done a good job controlling the run. We had a couple of bust in coverage last week, glad we did. Gives those guys an opportunity to fix before this week.
Roar Lions!

Old Texan fan here. For those of you coming to Stephenville, here’s some pointers. A lot of the parking literally south of the stadium is gone due to construction of a parking garage and the new basketball arena. Kinda make a loop around a 2 to 3 block radius and you will find something. Come early. The main tailgate area is just outside the stadium to the Northwest. We are a friendly bunch, you will be welcomed. We are a town of about 20k so we have all the fast food joints, but we have a couple of rather famous places. Hard 8 bbq, and Jake and Dorothy’s right off the square downtown. It’s been there forever and is always on the best chicken fried steak in Texas list. Lots of places to have a beer, but not really a superior sports bar. A new brew pub and another distillery are going in downtown but are a few months away from opening. What else? PM I guess. Sorry, but Texans 48 North Alabama 24. We are pretty good this year. Transition sucks as y’all know, but this team is light years ahead of last years.

If y’all hold us to 24 y’all are very good, we are much better than your first opponent. Like your team colors and thanks for the information. Hope ya’ll come in 2nd Saturday night in Stephenville. Think it will be a good game, looks y’all can move the ball too. We scored on y’all last year but we’re awful on defense all year. We have some talent on defense this year. If you guys bust 40 on this defense y’all are heading to the playoffs.
Fear is the temperature there. Our star receiver was held out due to extreme heat in game 1. Weather shows the temps look to be about the same on Saturday there, slightly less. Hoping he is able to safely play in the game. He is a difference maker with his size and speed.

We can’t go to the playoffs. Hello, transition. Yes, we can score 40. May give up 41, but we can score 40. 3 turnovers last week. 2 in the endzone. McNeese score should have been 68-14. New OC but he was here 10 years ago and we led all NCAA in scoring, and points. We will see on Saturday. I’ll come back here and either congratulate y’all, or do the nah, nah, nah, post. Kidding. Good Luck to all, and pray for no injuries to either!!!

Think this one will be a good old slobberknocker. Only met 3 times but all hard fought. It'll be close I'm thinking 31-28 UNA. Things hold together and this will be a good east west rivalry on down the road.

Sorry was thinking y’all had completed the transition too….hang in there it is pretty awesome when that punishment…I mean probation period comes to an end. Please come back, the talk between teams makes it a lot more interesting. Also hoping for a good clean competitive game without injuries.
