That one Hatter couldn’t miss from outside. He had at least 8 threes when I lost count. I think I’m wrong on the Decatur player starting.
This game felt a lot like last season. We’ll see how tomorrow goes.

When it comes to local players that go elsewhere, I always remind myself that some kids want to get away from home when they go to college. There’s nothing wrong with that. Besides, it’s not the players you don’t get that hurt you, it’s the players you have that don’t perform.
Hopefully the new locker room will be a good recruiting tool. And after this season we’ll have just one more in NCAA purgatory.

I do think the new locker room will be a plus for recruiting. Good news tonight is doubtful Hatters shoot over 60% from three again. I think our backcourt will defend perimeter better. I like how Youngblood is stepping this year. Need offense from 2 and 4 positions tonight and we split the series.

I agree except for Littles. He definitely is a better scorer in the post now. Blackmon it seems to be more a mental block...and usually when he is playing at home? He shoots a better percentage in the road...strange. Brown has some potential along with Soucie. James has plenty of confidence, he had improved his outside shot. James sometimes doesn’t trust the rest of the team to score when open. Youngblood has improved the most, he is just letting it go this year. He tried to guide his shot last year, glad he is trusting it. Hopefully Chatman continues to play more and help with defense and rebounding. We even up the series tonight. We finish with brutal schedule, need to get some wins early.

Grad transfers would be great but I don’t think we’ll see any of those until the transition is over.

Lions up 5 at the half! Blackmon doing well so far.

These refs are horrible. The calls and no calls against and for both teams are embarrassing. Does the league review these things?

The push off on 35 and he got free throws was terrible? Not sure how you miss the arm extension? UNA needs to close out the game, can’t allow teams to hang around.

Whew! Lost a 15 point lead but eeked it out in OT. Roar Lions! Much needed win.

Take the win and improve. Hatters had to play without their big entire 2nd half, definitely helped Lions on the boards. We can’t turnover when in the lead by one score trying to close out the game. Get to the foul line at the end of the shot clock. Team played like a young team, although we are quite experienced. Blackmon played much better on offensive end...we needed every bit of it.

I just wish we would not turn the ball over so much.... we have to care about keeping the ball. Playing wild equals turnovers....

Ugh. We have scored 22 points in the first half. CJ Brim has 13 of them.
