So as someone who tries to keep up with softball but doesn't always do a great job of it, what should we be expecting out of ASUN play? We start by playing North Florida this Saturday.
Looking at the conference standings, Jacksonville and Stetson are the only two teams with sub-.500 records. Of course, not all schedules are created equal. I know we have beaten several (mostly?) D1 squads. I feel like we have to be better than the 7th-place finish we were predicted to have.

I think we can do better than what is expected, but that means we will have to knock of a couple of teams in conference that we are not expected to knock off. I think we end up in 4th.

I think 4th wouldn't be too bad, all things considered. Do you know how the conference tournament is structured? There are only 8 teams in softball (NJIT apparently doesn't have one), so I wonder if all 8 qualify for it? I did see that the tournament is at FGCU. Again, wonder if it's always there, or if it rotates to different campuses? I would love to see us host at some point. Though as much as I love the Shoals, I'm sure Fort Myers is a great location for it as well...

Watching on ESPN+! Roar Lions!! I just tuned in as well. Looks like a nice crowd there! Can I complain about the lack of gold on our unis, or is that just beating a dead horse?

Lions have lost five in a row after coming up short the opener up at Lipscomb today 4-1. Maybe they can bounce back in the second game of the double-header.

Wouldn't have thought they would slump like this. The won the second game yesterday. Not doing so well today. The ace pitcher is hurt and the rest of our pitching is lackluster.

They were terrible today. I think Coach is realizing she has some gaps to fill in the off-season.
